Diriyah Season is officially back for 2022, and we couldn’t be any more excited, and we know you are, too. The festival is returning for its second edition. Diriyah Season 2022 is kicking off in just days so get ready for months of events, music, sports and more. Ahead of the start of the event, get amped up with everything to know about Diriyah Season.
Diriyah Season
Diriyah Season is set in the stunning UNESCO heritage site of Turaif in Diriyah. The first-ever festival happened in November 2019 with a month-long event. The debut Diriyah Season event saw huge entertainment and sporting events of all kinds, including the Diriyah e-Prix Formula E Championships, The Clash On the Dunes boxing match with Andy Ruiz Jr. versus Anthony Joshua, The Diriyah Tennis Cup, and the Diriyah Equestrian Festival.
Artists like Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Pitbull and Imagine Dragons performed at Diriyah Season 2019. We told you Saudi Season festivals go big, Diriyah Season included.
There was also a fun scavenger hunt for a foodie pop-up. Visitors were supposed to look for golden keys hidden throughout the city with hints posted on social media. Keep your eyes peeled for anything this year.
Diriyah Season 2022
Diriyah Season 2022 will start on Thursday October 20 and run until Wednesday February 22, 2023. The theme for the festival is City of Earth. Are you intrigued?
For the very first time, Diriyah will be hosting the Longines Global Champions Tour. The world-class horse jumping show has 15 rounds of competition.
From Tuesday November 11 to Wednesday November 12, Diriyah Season 2022 will host a FIBA 3×3 World Tour of 3×3 men’s basketball teams.
That’s just the start. The full schedule has yet to be released, but you can anticipate restaurant pop-ups, performances and more.

Visiting Saudi Arabia during the Diriyah Season
The Saudi Seasons draw visitors from across the city, Kingdom and the world. Saudi Arabia has brand-new tourist visa updates that make it even easier to travel to KSA, including for GCC, USA and UK residents.
Similarly, visitors from nearly 50 eligible countries can apply for a Saudi Arabia visitor e-visa. The visa will be a one-year, multiple-entry visa, allowing tourists to spend up to 90 days in the country. Apply for yours here.
Have a Hayya Card for attending the World Cup? Hayya Card holders can visit Saudi for up to 60 days during the World Cup Qatar event.
More exciting things happening in Diriyah
Diriyah is already a popular spot, and it promises to be even more of the place to be with dining destination Bujairi Terrace opening very soon as part of the highly anticipated Diriyah Gate launch. Expect world-class dining and international hotels to come to the historic region, including Address Hotels + Resorts and Baccarat Hotels & Resorts. On the foodie front, get ready for TATEL, Flamingo Room by tashas, Brunch & Cake, and Hakkasan to name just a few of the eateries.
