With just under two months left to go, excitement is building for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
If you’ve been lucky enough to grab tickets, it’s time to apply for your Hayya Card (if you haven’t already, that is).
In fact, all international travelers who wish to enter Qatar between Tuesday November 1 and Friday December 23 must apply for a Hayya Card.
If you haven’t applied for a Hayya Card yet, read on for a complete guide.
Who can apply for a Hayya Card?
All match ticket holders can apply for a Hayya Card. International Hayya Card holders can also be able to invite up to three non-ticketed fans to come with them, and the platform for doing so is now open (as of Thursday October 6).
Non-ticketed fans will have to pay a fee of QR500. This does not apply to children under the age of 12.
You can find out more about applying for non-ticketed fans to join you by clicking here.
Match ticket holders can apply at hayya.qatar2022.qa or through the Hayya to Qatar 2022 mobile application, which can be downloaded on iOS by clicking here, or on Android by clicking here.
What information is needed for the Hayya Card application?
After signing up on the website using your email address and password, you will need a valid match ticket to apply, along with some basic personal information.
You can begin your application without having booked accommodation. However, if you are an international fan, your application will only be complete once your accommodation is validated through the Hayya portal.
If you are coming to Qatar for less than 24 hours on one of the shuttle flights, all you need to apply is your travel details.
Since the Hayya Card will act as an entry permit to Qatar for international fans, you do not need a separate visa to apply for it.

What benefits will I get from the Hayya Card?
The Hayya Card, along with a valid match ticket, will provide entry to the stadium, entry to Qatar for international fans, access to free public transport on match days (both shuttle buses and the metro), and smart journey planning via the Hayya mobile application.
Hayya Card holders will also be able to apply for a free Saudi e-visa. The e-visa, which will be valid from ten days before the start of the tournament, will allow fans to stay in the Kingdom for up to 60 days.
The UAE has also announced a 90-day multi-entry visa, priced at Dhs100 (QR99/US$27).
You can also visit Oman for up to 60 days without paying a single riyal.
