Saudi Arabia allows international Umrah pilgrims to register for e-visa

Visa applications have just been made easier for those coming from outside of the Kingdom

Planning a visit to the Grand Mosque? Saudi Arabia just allowed Umrah pilgrims to register for an e-visa instead of having to apply through any foreign Umrah service agents.

Umrah pilgrims from outside the Kingdom can now simply apply online with travel agencies like Umrahtech, EasyUmrah, Marmara, Mawasim, and more. You can apply via three steps: first, you register through one of the approved electronic platforms, then you develop the programme by selecting housing and transportation, and lastly, you’ll add all of your data, and then submit the application.

The visa will be sent electronically so visitors can print it out themselves.

Observance of i’tikaf has also been permitted in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, by the General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais.

I’tikaf is when worshippers stay in a mosque for the last 10 days of Ramadan and devote themselves to prayer and stay away from worldly affairs.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques also just announced the launch of electronic identification cards with QR codes to help all visitors of the Two Holy Mosques.
