If you’ve been patiently waiting for the next public holiday in Saudi Arabia (we know we have), you don’t have to wait that long anymore. The next public holiday will be for Eid.
After celebrating Founding Day on February 22, we can look forward to Eid al-Fitr in April. It is anticipated the Eid public holiday in Saudi Arabia will give us a three-day weekend in April, if Eid begins on Thursday April 20, as anticipated.

Before Founding Day, the Kingdom’s last public holiday was a surprise when the Saudi national football team beat Argentina 2 to 1 in the FIFA World Cup 2022. (We’re not going to forget that moment.) The holiday was in November 2022.
Eid al-Fitr marks the end of a month of fasting for Ramadan, and also signals the beginning of Shawwal.
