Visiting the Two Holy Mosques? The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques just announced the launch of electronic identification cards with QR codes to help all visitors of the Two Holy Mosques.
The cards will facilitate all e-services like broadcasting of translated sermons, live classes, radio programmes and audiobooks through the Manarat Al-Haramain Platform. The services will also include interactive maps of the Prophet’s Mosque and the Grand Mosque, so pilgrims can perform their duties with ease.
The translated sermons can be found in languages like English, French, Persian, Urdu and Malay, to accommodate various visitors. Additionally, visitors will be gifted earphones to make the listening of the sermons and radio shows easier.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also recently announced that there will no longer be an age limit for Umrah pilgrims to enter the two Holy Mosques.
Previously, the Saudi Arabian government-imposed restrictions for pilgrims planning to perform Umrah, where only people aged between 18 and 50 that were double vaxxed could visit the Holy Mosques. With the latest update, there’s no age limit on pilgrims.
Also, starting Sunday March 6, permits are no longer required to pray in Grand Holy Mosque, and to visit the Prophet (PBUH). However, they are still needed to perform Umrah and visit the Noble Rawdah (Riyāḍ Al-Jannah, meaning Gardens of Paradise).
There will be no social distancing measures in the Grand Holy Mosque, the Prophet’s Holy Mosque and mosques, but masks must still be worn in both the Holy Mosques, according to the announcement.
