The Riyadh Season opening ceremony was huge. In fact it was so big that a Riyadh Season 2022 Guinness World Record win has just been confirmed.
The Riyadh Season 2022 Guinness World Record is for “the most remote-operated multirotors/drones launching fireworks simultaneously”. Boom.
The announcement was made by the Chairman of the General Authority for Entertainment (GEA) Turki Al-Sheikh.

When the season’s theme is “Beyond Imagination” you already know it aims to win big, and now the Saudi Season has a fresh Guinness World Record to prove it.
The Riyadh Season 2022 officially began on Friday October 21 with the now-record-breaking ceremony. Besides the dazzling drone and fireworks show, English pop star Anne-Marie performed along with Cirque du Soleil.
The records not stop there. Riyadh Season 2021 won four big Guinness World Records. The festival trumped all when it comes to recording 100 songs sung using hologram technology. Then the festival set a Guinness World Record for displaying the largest model of a Formula 1 car using half million Lego cubes at the Riyadh Motor Show.
The Giant Slide in Boulevard Riyadh City also set two records in the world: one as the longest in the world and two as the owner of the highest number of tracks of its kind in the field of games.
Furthermore, Saudi Arabia also recently won nine Guinness World Records for 2023. The Kingdom was awarded largest LED Structure and brightest suspended ornament for “Star in Motion” by Belgian artist Koert Vermeulen. MDLBEAST Soundstorm bagged an award for most LED lights in a display by using nearly 60,053,376 LED lights (yes, they counted every single one) over at the Big Beast stage and more.
The massive citywide festival is planning on hosting nearly 8,500 events across 15 zones (yes, you read that right). There are concerts to head to, new zones to visit and more. Don’t forget about the free zones, Winter Wonderland or the anime expo.
