It’s official: Riyadh’s most popular music festival is returning this December as MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022. Get ready for Riyadh’s “loudest week” complete with XP Music Futures.
The epic live music weekend in Riyadh kicks off with XP Music Futures 2022 running from Monday November 28 to Wednesday November 30. Directly after, MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 will run from Thursday December 1 to Saturday December 3.

So, what is MDLBEAST Soundstorm?
It’s the region’s biggest, loudest, and coolest (we’re a little biased) festival. Calling itself a “cultural catalyst” for the Saudi youth, MDLBEAST Soundstorm has taken the capital by storm with its multi-day format full of music, art and culture from all over the world.
When was the first edition of MDLBEAST Soundstorm held?
Back in 2019, MDLBEAST launched Soundstorm under the promise of bringing the “most stellar DJ lineup Saudi Arabia has ever seen.” The first festival ran from December 19 to 21, and it featured some of the biggest names in music today, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Tiësto and R3hab.
Since then, MDLBEAST has worked to bring music fans incredible music lineups featuring international musicians and local talents.
Who performed at MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2021?
Well, in 2021, A-list DJs like Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Deadmau5, DJ Snake, Eric Prydz, Martin Garrix, Paul Kalkbrenner, Tiësto and Steve Aoki performed across six stages, in addition to local artists including Anmarz, Cosmicat, Spaceboi, Vinyl Mode, and Zone+. Yes, you read that right. There were not one or two but six stages set up in the heart of Banban in Riyadh.
Have tickets for MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 been released yet?
MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 tickets are live right now in the second release phase.
MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 second release tickets are available now on mdlbeast.com and start at SAR249 for general admission at an early bird rate for a three-day pass. Premium tickets are SAR2,799 for three-day passes while VIB (Very Important Beasts) tickets are SAR5,699 for three-day passes.
One-day passes with the early bird discount will be priced at SAR109 for general admission, SAR1,249 for premium, and SAR2,549 for VIB.
It’s a good idea not to procrastinate because ticket prices will increase with each new release, plus, they could sell out. Phase one already did. Regular general admission tickets will be SAR339, SAR3,339 for premium and SAR6,699 for VIB for three-day passes.
While one-day passes will be priced at SAR149 for general admission, SAR1,499 for premium and SAR2,999 for VIB without the discount.
Who’s performing at MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022?
Nine headliners for MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 have been announced. This year you can count on big names like Bruno Mars, Post Malone and DJ Khaled to be there. There are also going to be returning favourites like Wizkid, Marshmello, David Guetta, Carl Cox and Solomun and DJ Snake taking the stage.
More acts have also been announced, including top international DJs like Tiësto, Steve Aoki and Hardwell. After more? R3hab Chet Faker, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, FKJ and Michael Kiwanuka will also be entertaining crowds.
The three days of music will also feature some top local DJs. There’s a strong Saudi female lineup with Biirdperson, Cosmicat, Dorar, Kayan, and Solskin hitting the decks along with Dish Dash, Vinylmode and DJ Aseel. This promises to be one roaring live music gig in the Saudi capital at Banban.
Additionally, four special guests were recently announced, including Mohamed Hamaki and Nancy Ajram. They will be taking to the stage with other acts for special collaborations.
Wondering who is playing when? The MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 daily lineup was revealed on November 10. Post Malone will be getting the festival started on the Big Beast stage and Bruno Mars will be part of the big final day lineup.
What are the eight stages at MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022?
The massive festival will be hosted in Banban, spread across eight stages. These include: Big Beast, Down Beast, Dance Tent, The Underground, UG1, UG2, UG3 and UG4.
The Big Beast is where you’ll like find all the big vibes. Artists like Bruno Mars, David Guetta and Marshmello among others will be taking this stage.
Down Beast is where you’ll find all the cool Indie, hip‑hop, R&B and LoFi tunes. Hip Hop duo Rae Sremmurd, Naika and Saudi singer Mishaal Tamer will be taking the stage here.
Dance Tent is where you showcase all your dance moves, if you’re into electronic music, this is the place to be for you. Returning favourite Morten will perform here alongside Nervo and R3hab.
The Underground will be the stage to be for house and techno fanatics. The stage is further divided into four stages: UG1, UG2, UG3 and UG4.
UG1 will be seeing performances by Eli & Fur, La Fleur and Maceo Plex. UG2 will be hosting Maher Daniel, Mathame and Mindwhere. At UG3 you can see artists like DJ duo Polo & Pan, Butch and Amini K. UG4 is only closed space when it comes to MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 stages and will see Andrey Pushkarev, Anmarz and Fred P.
What is MDLBEAST XP Music Futures?
It’s the region’s first music conference which was introduced in 2021 ahead of MDLBEAST Soundstorm. Its aim is to promote the Saudi music industry and help develop the EDM music scene in Saudi Arabia. You can also signup for workshops, panel discussions, jamming sessions and more. Like we mentioned, It will be held for three days before MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 begins.
The MDLBEAST XP Music Futures 2022 lineup was recently released and includes Hardwell and Lil Eazy.
