Saudia Airlines resumes flights to Istanbul after two years

The new flights will take off from Riyadh, Jeddah and Madinah

Planning a trip to Turkey? Saudia Airlines has resumed its flight to Istanbul after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Saudia Airlines relaunched flights to Istanbul, Turkey from Riyadh and Jeddah staring Saturday May 7. Additionally, the airline is re-launching flights from Al Madinah Al Munawwarah from Wednesday May 11.

The flights leaving Al Madinah Al Munawwarah and Jeddah will be scheduled daily, while Riyadh flights will be taking off on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Ready for a trip to Istanbul? Passengers travelling to Istanbul will be required to be double-jabbed (or one dose for Johnson and Johnson) by a vaccine listed by WHO, provided that the last dose was taken at least 14 days ago. You can also present “proof of recovery from COVID-19 within the last six months” according to Saudia Airlines or a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before departure.

Children under the age of 12 will not be required to present a vaccine certificate or a negative PCR test.

There are a number of PCR test centres in Riyadh you can head to before your trip.
