Fill up your calendar for the new month

March, the third month of the year is almost here, and that means it’s time to plan for the 31 days to come. Things to do in Riyadh in March are slowly creeping in. Being the month where Ramadan begins, we’re expecting more than a few restaurants and cafés to add in a selection of fitting dishes and menu items to tuck into for suhoor, and for these famous iftar tents to make an appearance.

Until then though, it’s safe to say we’ll be welcoming a few more live performances at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix before MDLBEAST takes the city by storm with the loudest weekend yet later this year. Here’s everything you can add to your calendar for things to do in Riyadh in March.

Al Janadriyah Festival

Janadriyah Festival is starting the new month off with a festive bang. The two-week event will welcome over one million visitors and highlights the legacy of Saudi through its various regions, activities and cultural standouts. You can also enjoy folklore performances, recitations of traditional poems, songs, and more fitting events to have you celebrating everything that makes the Kingdom what it is today.

DQ Farmers Market

The DQ's Famers Market offers plants and organic foods

Grab a bag because you’ll likely shop till you drop at the DQ Souq for things to do in Riyadh in March. The DQ’s Farmers Market is back with its stalls, so be prepared to explore it all. The must-visit market headed back to the city on Saturday February 11. Browse the many stalls every Saturday from 10am to 10pm and pick up a few potted plants, body-care products, fresh veggies and fruits, and other picks.

Dolphin show Boulevard

We’re getting goosebumps just thinking about it. One of the top musical performances to add to your things to do in Riyadh in March calendar is checking out this American rapper take to the Banban Festive Site stage on Friday March 17. Get in on the musical action at the Riyadh gig. Travis Scott is also heading to the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, so if you can’t catch him in Riyadh, you just might see him in Jeddah.

Vroom, vroom. The zooming Saudi Arabian Grand Prix event is racing its way into Jeddah for some need-for-speed competition. Head on over and experience the revving of the Formula 1 racecar engines then head over to the after-race performances by Calvin Harris, Afrojack, Travis Scott and Ahmed Saad.
