With the Premier League prepping to take to the field once again and the Champions League scheduled to follow shortly after, we need some solid spots to catch the matches. Enter Boulevard Riyadh City’s Al Hilal Café. The Hittin space is a popular Riyadh football café to kick back (not sorry) with friends and fellow footie fans over matches and snacks. Al Masaa Café
Another great pick to continue in the football spirit post-World Cup in Riyadh. This is one of the oldest cafés in the city and a local favourite. The space has widescreen TVs and can house up 1,050 people. Remember that if you’re bringing your full team to Riyadh football events.

Al Nassr Café

Fans Up Café
Heads up, Fans Up Café is a top Riyadh football outpost. The Al Waha space had the first-ever sports cinema in Saudi, and it has some comfy to match. Now all you need is the popcorn, or another snack. There are a range on the menu.

Al Shoulla Club Stadium
If you want to catch the action live, Al Shoulla Club Stadium will likely have you cheering. It’s one of the oldest stadiums in the city (59 years old to be exact) and is known located in Al Kharj. Head over for local Al Shoulla Football Club games. There’s plenty of space as the venue has a capacity of 8,000 fans. Let’s go team.

GPYW Indoor Stadium
If you’re after a Riyadh football indoor stadium to catch a game, remember this Al Malaz venue. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000 visitors and has previously hosted matches by Al Hilal.

Catch some football at the popular King Fahd International Stadium. The arena opened in 1987 and has since seen the likes of the Green Falcons and more top local and international teams take to the pitch. The stadium also has the world’s largest roof opening. Once known as King Salam bin Abdulaziz Sport City Stadium, this green space opened back in 1990, and is a fave spot for footie fans. It can hold around 7,000 people, making it great option to catch a game.

Home to the first Riyadh-based female football team and a top pick for Riyadh football join, Al Yamamah Football club welcomes female aged 16 and above and offers a variety of programmes for boys up to 12. A field perfect for groups of 10 and more, Al Izdihar Soccer Field is a worth visiting to channel your inner Messi. The area has various facilities as well as a women’s football league and youth football academy.

Goal Junior
Kids can kick it at Goal Junior. Little ones up to 15 years of age can join teams based on age and level, then play 12 to 15 minutes games. It promises to be a great place for kids to make new friends, and get active.

Al Sahim Al Multahib play
Love of a good football play? Here’s a slightly different sort. Al Sahim Al Multahib is happening right now at Boulevard Riyadh City, and it’s all about football. The theatrical play celebrates Saudi footie player Majed Abdullah. The show is on until Wednesday December 28, and takes place at Riyadh Season zone from from 8.30pm to 10.30pm.

Italian Super Cup
Farewell World Cup, hello Italian Super Cup. Tickets for the football event are up for grabs right now, and start at SAR120. The anticipated match is less than a month away and is a highlight of Diriyah Season. It will be the 35th Italian Super Cup, and it will be held for the third time in Saudi. See who wins on Wednesday January 18 at King Fahd International Stadium.

Malaab Al Hosh
Playing footie on different terrains creates a different experience each time. You can play football in the sand at Riyadh Season’s Qariat Zaman zone. They didn’t have that in Doha. The event runs from 4pm to midnight, and like the rest of the zone, the activity offers some Saudi nostalgia. Put on an old-school kit and celebrate throwback the Kingdom’s football heritage. Tickets can be purchased inside the zone.
