International Umrah visa holders can now travel across Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah shared the update

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah just announced that Umrah visa holders can now freely move between all cities in Saudi Arabia.

Previously, Umrah visa holders were only able to travel between Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah. Umrah visa holders are allowed to stay within the Kingdom for 30 days.

According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah: “The Umrah visa enables the pilgrim to move between Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah and all the cities of the Kingdom during the period of his permitted stay.”

The Umrah visa cannot be extended past the 30-day period, and pilgrims will be required to travel by the end of their program.

If you’re planning a trip to the Grand Mosque, Umrah pilgrims from outside the Kingdom can now simply apply online thanks to the new Umrah pilgrims e-visa. Umrah pilgrims from outside the Kingdom can apply online via travel agencies like Umrahtech, EasyUmrah, Marmara, Mawasim, and more

You can apply for the Umrah e-visa in three steps: first, you register through one of the approved electronic platforms, then you develop the programme by selecting housing and transportation. Lastly, you’ll add all of your data. The visa will be sent electronically so visitors can print it out themselves.

Earlier in March, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia announced that there will no longer be an age limit for Umrah pilgrims to enter the two Holy Mosques. Prior to the announcement, pilgrims planning to perform Umrah were restricted to those aged between 18 and 50 that were double vaxxed.
