Saudi Arabia Eid 2022 private sector holidays announced

The Eid school break starts this week

Ready for your Eid break? The Saudi Arabia Eid 2022 private sector holiday will begin on the eve of Saturday April 30 (Ramadan 29).

Those in the Kingdom will be able to enjoy a long break this Eid. The Saudi Arabia Eid 2022 private sector holidays will run from April 30 and end on Thursday May 5.

School holidays for Eid Al-Fitr 2022 have also been announced. Saudi Arabia Eid-Al-Fitr 2022 school holidays for all students will now begin on Thursday evening, April 21 and end on Thursday May 5. This will enable students across the Kingdom to spend the last 10 or so days of Ramadan with their families at home.

Private and public sector offices have remained open throughout Ramadan. The Ramadan working day in Saudi Arabia for the private sector was a total of six hours. Starting and end times depended on the nature of the jobs, and private companies.

For the public sector working hours, the day were a total of five hours long and the day began at 10am and ended at 3pm. 

Eid is expected to start on Monday May 2, but the exact date will be confirmed by the moon-sighting committee in Saudi Arabia. Once the hilal (crescent moon) is sighted, the exact date will be finalised.

Sat Apr 30 to Thu May 5.
