Six categories of citizens and residents in Saudi Arabia are now eligible for the second COVID-19 booster, the Ministry of Health has announced.
Back in April, the COVID-19 second booster shot was made available for all those over the age of 50. Since then, more categories have been announced.
The dose is now available to all kidney failure patients, bone marrow transplant patients who have had a transplant within the past two years, patients who are currently receiving immunosuppressive drugs, and active cancer patients who are under treatment.
Also on the list are patients who suffer from advanced or untreated immunodeficiency diseases such as HIV, AIDS, and more.

Organ transplant patients who are currently receiving immunosuppressive drugs are also eligible to be quadruple-jabbed.
You can receive the COVID-19 second booster eight months after taking your first booster.
Saudi Arabia also recently approved the Moderna vaccine for kids aged six to 11 years old, and last December, Pfizer- BioNTech vaccination doses were approved for children aged five to 11 years old too.
The first COVID-19 vaccine booster was made mandatory back in February, and failure to get the shot results in your immune status on the Tawakkalna app being taken away.
