Keep your eyes out: The Saudi Games 2022 torch relay just began in Riyadh.
The Saudi Games 2022 torch is travelling across 3,500 kilometres in celebration of the largest national sporting event in the Kingdom’s history.
The exciting journey starts in Riyadh and it will travel across Saudi Arabia for 22 days before heading back to Riyadh.
The Saudi Games 2022 torch relay tour will visit 57 famous landmarks in 13 regions of Saudi Arabia. All athletes and sports personalities participating in the Saudi Games 2022 will follow suit on foot (talk about getting that workout in) or by another mode of transport such as vehicle or horse. So, keep your eyes peeled.

Want to witness the event? The Saudi Games 2022 torch relay began in the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee headquarters in Riyadh and will head to Madinah, Tabuk, NEOM, Al Jawf Province, Al-Shola, the Northern Borders Province, Ha’il, and the Qassim region.
The Saudi Games 2022 torch relay will have reached the Eastern Province (Dhahran, Khobar, and Dammam) on Saturday September 24 then go to Al-Ahsa, Makkah, Taif, Al-Baha and the Asir region. The torch will then head to Jazan followed by Najran and AlUla, before making its way back to Riyadh’s Diriyah for the official start of the Saudi Games 2022 on Monday October 10, ahead of the Saudi Games 2022 from Thursday October 27 to Friday November 7.
If you want to be part of the exciting event, there will also be a march held on Monday October 10 to promote peace and friendship among residents and visitors.
