The AlUla Arts Festival is back for another round of creativity. Bring on the masterpieces, Maraya and Warhols.
The second edition fo the AlUla Arts Festival event is taking place from Thursday February 16 to Tuesday February 28 at the UNESCO World Heritage Site and historical city of AlUla.
Get those creative juices flowing by joining in on the contemporary art, large-scale installations workshops, talks, exclusive performances, and community murals scattered across the desert landscape. .

The festival will also have an Art in the Landscape guided hike taking art fanatics on a journey through Wadi AlFann. It will highlight where future artworks from James Turrell, Manal Al Dowayan, Ahmed Mater, Agnes Denes, and more will be placed.
The festival is themed “Living in Color,” it also lets you get immersed in the artworks by following a trail of curated public art installations in Al Jadidah.
One of the highlights of the Saudi art event is the Andy Warhol exhibition. The AlUla Arts Festival has first collaboration with the Andy Warhol Museum with the FAME exhibition at Insta-favourite venue, Maraya.
The AlUla Arts Festival is also hosting an AlUla programme titled “Palimpsest of Time”, which is an exhibition and open studio bringing together 13 artists from previous programmes.
Other compelling experiences include immersive installations by Arts AlUla for AlUla’s Oasis, Myhrr and Silver Scent walking tours, AlUla Cinema Week, Fringe (performing arts festival) and Madrasat Addeera Programme.
We cannot forget about the 100 Best Arabic Posters exhibition, which runs from February 17 to April 30. Check out the free exhibition daily from 11am to midnight along the main road of Al Jadidah. The colourful maze-like exhibition explores works across the Arab world.
The artistic event isn’t the only thing returning to the city this year. Returning AlUla events for 2023 include MDLBEAST’s AZIMUTH to get the beat pumping along with celebrating the culture and heritage of the area with the Ancient Kingdoms Festival.
