After Indian food in the Saudi capital? Zafran Indian Bistro opened a new Riyadh branch.
The Time Out Riyadh Restaurant Awards 2022 shortlisted restaurant has set up shop in Al Nakheel Mall. The new outpost is the UAE-born brand’s fourth branch in Saudi Arabia, and it promises plenty more flavourful dishes.
Ready to dig in? (You know we are.) Zafran Indian Bistro has launched a new menu at the Al Nakheel Mall location as well as its other Riyadh venues, as well as in Dubai.
There’s also a revamped kabab menu waiting for you, with dishes such as chicken peeli mirch tikka (chicken tikka with special spices), patiala tawa mutton (pan-fried lamb), bhuni tangdi (tandoor-cooked, Cajun-spice-marinated chicken drumsticks) and raan zafran (braised lamb leg). Diners can also tuck into mahi samarkan (whole seabream marinated with zaatar, sumac, among other spices and roasted in the oven).

Looking for veggie options at the new Zafran Indian Bistro? The restaurant offers lucknowi beetroot tikki (deep-fried taro and beetroot savoury cakes) and achari paneer tikka (pickled Indian cottage cheese tikka).
Zafran Indian Bistro can be found near Gate 7 at Nakheel Mall Riyadh’s new extension. The new eatery also has an outdoor terrace for dining on fresh autumn evenings.
