Saudi Arabia lifts travel ban to Thailand after 30 years

There was previously a travel ban for Saudi Nationals

Saudi Arabia just lifted the travel ban for Saudi nationals wanting to travel to Thailand after 30 years.

The move comes after Saudi Arabia and Thailand restored full diplomatic ties in January. Saudi Arabia lifting the travel ban on Thailand was reported by the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday March 9.

Saudi Arabian Airlines even launched the first flight to Thailand in 30 years, which took off from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. This also marks the return of Thai passengers into the Kingdom, too.

Saudi Arabia has also lifted a flight ban on several countries, including Angola, Afghanistan, Botswana, Ethiopia, Lesotho, South Africa, Nigeria, Eswatini, Mozambique, Malawi, Mauritius, Madagascar, Seychelles, Comoros and Zambia. The move came after the Kingdom dropped nearly all of its COVID-19 restrictions including face masks no longer being a requirement outdoors and social distancing rules also don’t apply anymore.

So if you’re looking to plan a holiday to the beautiful beaches of the Thai islands, you can play a trip to Phuket, Phi Phi, and more.
