Making the trip from Riyadh to Qatar for the biggest tournament in sport?
One major bit of red tape has just been withdrawn.
That’s because you will no longer need to do a PCR test.
Citizens and residents are no longer required to take a rapid antigen test or PCR test within 24 hours of arrival in Qatar.
Visitors will also not need to present a negative PCR or RAT test before travelling to Qatar.
In a statement, the Ministry of Public Health “stressed the need for all citizens, residents and visitors to continue to follow standard precautionary measures to reduce the risk of infection. This includes being fully vaccinated against COVID-19; performing regular hand hygiene; getting tested if you experience COVID-19 symptoms; and following a healthy lifestyle”.

It comes as Qatari authorities also made changes to their Ehteraz rules.
The green health status will now only need to be shown when entering health facilities.
The new rules come into effect from Tuesday November 1.
Showing your green health status on the Ehteraz app has been mandatory since May 2020.
The Ministry made the announcement in light of the fact that “the number of COVID-19 cases continu[es] to fall around the world and in Qatar, and the ongoing roll-out of Qatar’s National COVID-19 Vaccination Program”.
From Tue Nov 1.
