Saudi public holiday announced for World Cup game win

Students and workers will have Wednesday November 23 off

Let the celebrations continue. Saudi has officially declared tomorrow as a public holiday following the national team’s historic World Cup game win.

The Saudi Arabia public holiday for World Cup game win 2022 announcement was shared following Saudi’s 2-1 victory over Argentina.

The news was revealed on Tuesday November 22 via the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The announcement stated: “Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Directs that Wednesday Will be a Holiday for all Employees in all Government Sectors and Private Sector, and Students in all Educational Stages”. That means everyone can celebrate with no school and work. Score!

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud approved the public holiday proposed by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, following Saudi national team’s milestone victory against Argentina in the World Cup.
