We love that Riyadh Season has finally returned to town, so are thrilled to hear that a part of it will be sticking around a little bit longer. Riyadh Safari, which offers exciting animal experiences for the family, will now remain open for up to four months after the end of Riyadh Season.
During Riyadh Season there are 14 different zones, offering everything from foodie fun to Winter Wonderland. Riyadh Safari is in zone seven and is unique in boasting animal adventures, which include rare and endangered animals.
You may think Riyadh is a concrete jungle that has risen out of the middle of the desert, but Riyadh Safari shows that the capital has a wild side. The safari is located a short drive away from the capital in Nofa Wildlife Park.
Riyadh Safari is dedicated to educating and showcasing the diversity in the animal kingdom. During the exciting tour, you’ll be dazzled by an array of animals including ligers (offspring of a male lion and a female tiger), lions, zebras, hippopotamus, giraffes and cheetahs. There is also a rare golden tiger, which is one of 34 remaining in the world.
Riyadh Safari has been a busy bee, as the zone is bigger than before and increased by 40 per cent, meaning up to 3,000 people can be in the park. If you want to give your experience an upgrade, there are private jeep tours. Plus, you have fun in the petting zoo, which has family-friendly animals including goats, llamas and chickens.
To complement your trip, there are water games, theatre performances and carnival-inspired games. Plus, you can make a day of it, as there are 24 cafés and restaurants on-site and ones that boast animal-filled views. Riyadh Safari is definitely not a one-trick pony.
