If you’re planning a weekend away from Riyadh in Al Khobar, and a new dining experience, this could be a brilliant fine-dining option.
Nozomi Al Khobar promises a vibrant social dining experience that blends Japanese culinary traditions with European flair. The Japanese fine-dining restaurant was originally founded in London’s glamorous Knightsbridge in 2004, and has now expanded with a new outpost in Saudi Arabia. The recently opened Nozomi in Al Khobar promises a specific à la carte menu that blends Japanese cuisine to local tastes.
As mentioned, the new restaurant is located at the Al Matal Complex and offers views of the Al Khobar waterfront.
Wondering what’s on the Nozomi Al Khobar menu? Choose from sushi and robata grill options. Notable dishes include marinated yellowtail sashimi, grade 9+ wagyu beef with homemade pickles and ponzu truffle sauce, and the popular black cod with pickled relish and miso.

For dessert, there’s the yuzu pavlova, which is a refreshing dessert featuring a meringue served with yuzu cream and fresh berries; or the signature Nozomi tiramisu.
Nozomi isn’t the only new fine-dining destination in Al Khobar. You could enjoy French cuisine at Art Deco eatery Belgravian Brasserie, or experience modern Greek cuisine at Hellenika. All three restaurants are located in the picturesque Al Matal complex.
If you’re after fresh dining experiences in Riyadh, Black Tap has just opened in the Saudi Arabia capital, and the casual eatery is serving its signature craft burgers and mammoth milkshakes. Additionally, Dubai’s High Joint has expanded into the Kingdom for the first time with delivery options. EL&N London recently opened a new branch in the city featuring the café’s full menu.
