Ready to try a new burger in the Saudi capital? Black Tap Riyadh is opening very soon. Black Tap has come to Saudi Arabia for the first time with Black Tap Riyadh opening up in King Abdullah Financial District on Tuesday May 31. Ahead of the opening, Time Out got an exclusive first look at the colourful venue and its Instagrammable burgers and Crazyshakes.
Black Tap Riyadh might be the first location in the Kingdom, but chances are you have seen Black Tap’s craft burgers and Crazyshakes on Instagram. The Instagrammable menu has been a favourite on social media since the very first Black Tap opened in New York City in 2015. Since then, the casual-cool eatery has expanded across the globe from Dubai to Singapore, Kuwait to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain to Las Vegas, and beyond. And now we get the chance to try those mega milkshakes and craft burgers at Black Tap Riyadh. Are you ready?
Given its original NYC location, Black Tap is fittingly inspired by SoHo in the ’80s and ’90s, and that aesthetic carries through to the new Riyadh location complete with neon signs, graffiti art, grey brick and graphic black and white floor.
There is even a dedicated merchandise booth so you can pick up a hat or T-shirt if you want a keepsake from your experience at Black Tap Riyadh.
Black Tap Riyadh offers table seating as well as counter seating if you want to see exactly what is being whipped up by the chefs. There is even a dedicated Crazyshake station which will likely be one of the most popular seats in the house whether you opt for a counter or booth seating. Diners will likely be curious to see just how those behemoth Crazyshakes come to be, including how the drinks manage to be topped with everything from doughnuts to cake.
