Coya Riyadh: See the amazing new dishes on the menu

See what you can order at the Peruvian restaurant

Exciting news: Coya Riyadh opens (drum roll, please) tomorrow. It’s been a long two months since the announcement of Coya. The Peruvian restaurant previously had pop-ups in Saudi Arabia, and because of the massive success, we’re (finally) getting a permanent spot in Riyadh. Ahead of the opening, Time Out got a preview of the menu at the new Coya. Wondering what to order? If the sound of ceviche and tacos gets you excited, listen up.

Coya is famously known for its ceviche, which is a traditional Peruvian dish made with fresh raw fish cured in fresh citrus juices. Here are all of the choices available at Coya Riyadh: lubina clásica (classic seabass), atún chifa (tuna), hongos (mushroom), salmón nikkei (Nikkei salmon), and pargo a la trufa (red snapper with truffle). Not sure what to pick. Order the mistura de ceviches platter, which is a selection of Coya’s signature ceviches.

Meat-lovers rejoice, order the anticuchos (marinated grilled meat) with a selection of chicken, beef, and tiger prawns, and enjoy the tasty, saucy, cuts presented on skewers.

In the mood for something a little fancier? Order the wagyu short ribs or the wagyu beef tataki with cashew nuts, and you’re golden.

This tasty number is called escabeche peruano, it’s a whole grilled fish served with a banana leaf, tamarillo fruit and aji panca (a spicy Peruvian pepper).

Of course no meal would be complete without dessert.

Coya dessert platter: popsicles, churros and chocolate, chocolate cake and fresh fruit

Coya’s signature dessert platter includes a selection of seasonal fruit, popsicles and chocolate cake. Just try to save room for it all.

At the new venue, you see plush green couches with wooden tables and gorgeous greenery all around. The dining area has colourful seats in colours like blue, green, and yellow. Click here to see Time Out’s exclusive first look of Coya in Riyadh.
