Coya Riyadh will be opening in the capital

The Peruvian restaurant opens in the Sulaimaniya district in February 2022

If the sound of ceviche and tacos gets you excited, you’ll be pleased to hear that Coya Riyadh is opening in the capital. The Peruvian restaurant previously had pop-ups in Saudi Arabia, and now a permanent restaurant is opening in the Sulaimaniya district.

Launching in February 2022, the venue promises to bring its signature Peruvian offerings to the capital. Inside you’ll find the live, open ceviche counter, and outside you can dine alfresco throughout the year in its lavish pergola.

The restaurant will boast views of the surrounding Sulaimaniya district. The space will also include an indoor terrace with a DJ, and guests will be entertained by the sounds of Coya Music, the brand’s own international music label.

Coya first opened in Mayfair, London in 2012, and has expanded across the globe to Paris to Monte Carlo, Mykonos, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha.

The restaurant general manager, Marco Di Pietro, who was previously responsible for the Coya Jeddah and Coya Riyadh pop-ups, says “We are extremely excited to bring the taste of Coya to Saudi Arabia through our new permanent location. Focusing on a family-focused, diverse atmosphere, Coya Riyadh will be a glitzy addition to Saudi Arabia’s fine-dining scene. I look forward to welcoming guests in February 2022.”

Stefano Pizzini, Middle East operations manager of Coya, adds, “Following highly acclaimed pop-ups in Riyadh and Jeddah, we felt a need in the Saudi Arabia dining scene for an authentic experience that focuses on Peruvian cuisine. Coya Riyadh was a result of the overwhelming response we received from our customers to open a venue in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.” It sounds like another exciting addition to Saudi’s ever-expanding dining scene.
