National Museum of Saudi Arabia reopens with new May events

There are new opening hours, experiences and more

Ready for some great culture? The National Museum of Saudi Arabia reopens with new events and activities for May, plus, new hours for more time to explore and learn.

Want to gain more knowledge about the rich history of Saudi Arabia? The National Museum of Saudi Arabia is the place to go to discover more about the Kingdom. You’ll have more chances to do that because The National Museum of Saudi Arabia new hours will be Mondays to Thursdays from 9am to 7pm, Fridays from 2pm to 10pm and Saturdays from 9am to 7pm. It will remain closed on Sundays.

The new activities at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia include a “design your card” experience where visitors can learn more about ancient decorative art styles. Then you will have the chance to a personalised greeting card inspired by the old-timey decorations. This experience will run from Monday May 9 to Saturday June 4. Are you ready to get creative?

There’s also a bookmark making activity to help you unleash your inner artist. Participants will be making bookmarks inspired by the various flowers that grow in the Kingdom.

Lastly, the “homeland bounties” experience will teach museum-goers how to utilise the Kingdom’s vast resources through examples like using Saudi coffee in the manufacturing skincare scrubs. If you’re also about loving local businesses and shopping local, this is likely the workshop for you.

If you’re into music, a live band will perform on Thursday May 26 from 4pm to 9pm.
