Amr Diab and Mohamed Hamaki to perform at the Riyadh Season closing ceremony

The big-name concert happens Thursday March 24

Riyadh Season just announced two headliners for the closing ceremony of one of the biggest entertainment festivals in the region. Amr Diab and Mohamed Hamaki will be joining forces for the very first time in this show-stopping (literally) concert.

Amr Diab is heading back to the capital after taking the Riyadh Season stage back in February. He is a legendary singer with his global sales that have already beaten the 50 million mark, and the singer/songwriter has won the World Music Award for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist four times, in 1998, 2002, 2007 and 2009.

Amr Diab followed those up in 2010 with two African Music Awards: Best Male Act of Africa and Best North African Artist, during the African Music Award Festival in London.

Mohamed Hamaki is one of the most popular names in the Arab music scene, and previously won the title of Best Arabian Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2010. He was also one of the judges on The Voice: Ahla Sawt in season five in 2019.

Riyadh Season is part of the countrywide Saudi Seasons festival initiative, which includes the Sharqiyah Season in March and the Jeddah Season in June. Riyadh Season launched in 2019 and is the biggest festival of its kind in the Middle East.

Riyadh Season has updated its COVID procedures following the Kingdom dropping most COVID-19 restrictions recently. In line with the changes, Riyadh Season is returning to full capacity and welcoming non-masked visitors at full capacity.

Some COVID-19 preventative measures still remain in place. Face masks are no longer required in open areas, but it is still mandatory to wear them in closed places.
