First phase of Riyadh Buses launches

The service has over 340 buses and 633 stations

Riyadh Buses are officially operating. All aboard.

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City announced the launch of the first phase of the Riyadh Buses service.

As of Sunday March 19, the service will include over 340 buses operating across 633 stations and bus stops.

The new Riyadh Buses are covering 15 routes out of a total of 86 routes. Tickets for the Riyadh Buses are for SAR4 and are valid for two hours from first-use. Children up to the age of six can ride the bus for free.

You can also move onto another bus using the same ticket during the given time-period.

Ticket machines, application-purchase options, and the Darb Card service are all available to purchase a Riyadh Bus ticket.

Part of the King Abdulaziz Public Transport Project, it is one of the main initiatives in the city attending to the every expanding population of the Kingdom by serving vital mobility needs.

The project will include a total of five phases with a total length of 1,900 kilometres and more than 800 operating buses via over 2,900 stations.


The buses operate on environmentally friendly low-sulfur fuel.
