Love sports? This one’s for you. The first edition of the Saudi Games is happening from Thursday March 10.
The Saudi Games were originally supposed to be held in March 2020, but were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament will see a large group of athletes competing to win prizes.
Need a little motivation to register? The winner of the gold medal at the Saudi Games receive a cash prize of SAR1 million, the winners of the silver medal receive a cash prize of SAR300,000, and the bronze medal winners receive SAR100,000.

The move comes as part of Saudi Vision 2030. The SFA was given the task to increase the number of people in the kingdom participating in sports and physical activities by 40 percent. The SFA is dedicated to making everyone’s lifestyle a little healthier in the most fun ways possible.
More details about the Saudi Games, such as the eligibility criteria, trial dates and venues are to be announced soon by the Saudi Olympics Committee led by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al- Faisal. Watch this space for more details.

We are going through a new stage by developing a comprehensive strategy for the development of sports federations at various games, and also the creation of a new generation of athletes capable of competing in various competitions aiming to honour the name of the Kingdom in major regional and international platforms. “
