When the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 comes to the Middle East for the first time in November, along with it comes the world’s greatest footballers.
Every four years, fans savour the opportunity to see the sport’s biggest names pit themselves against each other, as well as trying to spot who the next star will be.
From Pele in 1958 all the way through to Kylian Mbappé in 2018, the tournament can shoot a soccer stars career into the stratosphere.
In Qatar, 32 teams will be in action from around the world – including established giants such as Brazil, Germany and Spain, as well as smaller footballing nations such as Korea Republic, Costa Rica and Serbia.
And while many tickets were snapped up in the first few rounds of online ballots, at the time of writing there are still plenty of seats still available to watch some of the games greats in action.
On November 21, you can see Los Angeles FC’s new signing Gareth Bale in action for Wales against the USA before he moves to the US to join his new team, while two days later Canada play their first World Cup match since 1986, as they take on Romelu Lukaku’s Belgium – who will be hoping to go far in the tournament.
November 24 sees Luis Suarez’s Uruguay take on Son Heung-Min’s Korea Rupublic – with both superstars hoping they can lead their underdogs to glory. Like Suarez, an ageing Luka Modric will be playing on his last World Cup with Croatia. There are still tickets to see the Croats take on Canada on November 27.
There are still tickets available to see four-time winners Germany take on Costa Rica on December 1, too, with the chance to see the likes of Thomas Muller, Manuel Neuer, Serge Gnabry and co in action.
While those may be some of the big names on show, football fans will relish the opportunity to see players pull on their national shirts to try and fire their teams to the trophy. Read on to find out which group matches still have seats available.
