The Time Out Riyadh Restaurant Awards 2022 winner for Restaurant of the Year introduced the new new concept every on November 29. ROKA Izakaya Nights are happening every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6pm until late.

The new event is the first of its kind in Riyadh, and it draws inspiration from a traditional Japanese dining experience. Izakaya is part of the Japanese culture. It’s an informal gathering with family and friends to get together and wind down after the day over eats. Sharing plates large and small is very much a part of the experience. It sounds like just the sort of thing everyone needs mid-week, and we now get to experience the izakaya-style night in Riyadh at ROKA, complete with a DJ and live percussionist.
The new event is also fitting for the contemporary Japanese restaurant.
You can sample your way through ROKA’s à la carte as part of the Izakaya Nights, including menbosha (seafood dumplings with milk bread and wasabi mayonnaise), beef katsu sando and chicken udon noodles.
ROKA’s mixologist will be making unique bottled mocktails as part of the evenings, and ladies will receive a free welcome mocktail.
