You don’t have to wait long now for restaurants to open in King Abdullah Financial District. London’s Il Baretto has announced that it will be the first restaurant to open in the area. The Italian restaurant will welcome guests from November 19, and it will mark the launch of a new chapter in the kingdom’s financial centre.
Spanning across 1.6 million square metres, KAFD is a smart city that serves as a local and regional financial hub. Home to some exclusive office and residential addresses, KAFD is an internationally recognised authority for sustainability and a dynamic destination for business and entertainment.
Co-founded by restaurateurs Arjun Waney of Zuma, Roka, Coya and LPM, and Giuliano Lotto of Zafferano, Memory of China and Aubergine. Il Baretto offers an Italian menu that draws its influence from the speciality dishes and regional Italian produce.
The venue was launched in partnership with Saudi restaurateur Mohammed Jawa. He holds over 18 years of experience within the local market. Jawa’s other forthcoming launches within the district include Zuma, Amazonico, Mr Chow, Aok and Black Tap.
Il Baretto Riyadh merges design elements from its London Marylebone location with contemporary influences inspired by KAFD. Il Baretto Riyadh will accommodate guests within the restaurant’s main dining area as well as on an outdoor terrace.
Love Italian food? The menu includes a curation of Italian favourites as well as modern classics such as veal Milanese, whole seabass, lobster linguine, salmon carpaccio, and wood-fired northern Italian pizza. Reservations for the restaurant are now open, so get booking.
