Spare yourself the plane ticket. There’s sesame tahini pancakes, Cerelac umm Ali and wagyu kebab baos at Somewhere. The venue is inspired by travels, and that is clearly reelected in the diversity of the playful menu. It takes us somewhere, anywhere and everywhere in between. There are locations across Saudi, including in AlUla and at Riyadh Front, but if you’re going to eat somewhere, we suggest the new Bujairi Terrace location.

Sum + Things
The name is a clue that this isn’t your average restaurant. This is an eatery and concept store with a little sumthing extra (get it?). Sum + Things is a combination of a lounge area with a library, an in-house café and a concept store with ornaments and furniture. With a branch already up and running at the famous The Boulevard complex in Hittin, there is a new outpost at Bujairi Terrace.

Villa Mamas
If you’re after comforting home cooking, but getting some proper home cooking isn’t an option, a trip to Villa Mamas should do the trick. Villa Mamas is meant to be a grander version of founder Roaya Saleh’s home, and she treats every guest like her own as she and the staff whip up nourishing meals with local, seasonal, fresh and organic ingredients. Joe and The Juice
Feeling particularly virtuous? This popular Copenhagen-based juice bar and café will help you get your fruits and veggies with its colourful options. The Bujairi Terrace location is the first Saudi outpost. Take a sip of the signature juices and smoothies including Green Shield, and Joe’s Green Mile. The eatery is a great spot for lighter bites or grabbing a juice to go, although with views of Turaif and UNESCO World Heritage Sites all around, we recommend taking a seat in the pretty pink venue.
