MDLBEAST XP Music Futures and Soundstorm are part of the “loudest weekend” on the music scene in Riyadh, and pretty much in the Saudi Arabia.

What is MDLBEAST XP Music Futures?
It’s a relatively new annual music conference held to promote the ever-growing music industry in Saudi Arabia. Leading music industry professionals gather together to discuss, network and amplify music in the Kingdom. It’s the first event of its kind in the region.
When was it launched?
The first edition was held in 2021 in Jax, Diriyah ahead of MDLBEAST Soundstorm.
When is MDLBEAST XP Music Futures 2022?
If you missed out on the debut event, don’t sweat it because the Riyadh music event is back this year. The 2022 edition will run from Monday November 28 to Wednesday November 30, and will be held again at Jax, Diriyah. The countdown is on.

What can I expect at XP Music Futures 2022?
If you’re a musician in the making or just into finding out how your favourite songs are made, the event is likely the one is for you. Take part in interactive workshops, participate in discussions, listen in on jamming sessions, and immerse yourself in our music regional scene.
What’s the aim of the XP Music Futures conference?
The conference aims to support the music industry in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. XP Music Futures brings together professionals from the industry, and you’ll also have the chance to network at the event. The goal is also to develop the musical infrastructure in the Kingdom and become a space where creatives can share ideas.
Who is speaking at XP Music Futures 2022?
There are over 40 speakers participating in the insightful music event with five major keynote speakers will be participating in the 2022 edition. These include Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna. She’ll be a part of the session in a one-on-one Arabia-dialogue conversation.
Mathew Knowles (yes, father of the Beyoncé) will be hosting a session as will famed Dutch DJ and Revealed Recordings founder Hardwell.
After more? Further discussions will be carried out by Jeddah-based rapper and hip-hop musician Lil Eazy and former Swedish House Mafia manager Amy Thomson.
DJ, and producer Cassy, former Major Lazer member Jillionaire and Berlin-based DJ, producer and label owner Mathew Jonson are part of the XP Music Futures discussions along with Cosmicat, Tamer, Desertf!sh and Jeme.
What topics do the panel discussions usually revolve around?
Last year, there was a major focus on mental health and music highlighting the importance of establishing a sustainable, strong foundation for artists, businesses and fans, well-being and diversity in the industry. Empowering women in music was also a top topic.
How is XP Music Futures different from Soundstorm?
XP Music Futures precedes Soundstorm, but the MDLBEAST events are closely related and part of the biggest weekend in music in Riyadh.
