Already thinking about your next holiday destination? We have good news, as flynas has just launched direct flights between AlUla International Airport and DXB in Dubai.
If you’ve not heard of AlUla before, it’s home to one of Saudi’s most impressive, undiscovered heritage sites – Hegra. With more than a hundred well-preserved tombs, it’s a must-visit on any trip to Saudi Arabia.
flynas is the first airline in the world to offer direct flights between the two cities, opening up the up-and-coming tourist attraction to even more visitors. CEO at flynas, Bander Almohanna, said, “We are excited to make AlUla more accessible to all travellers in the region, a destination that is truly unique and never fails to impress even the most experienced travellers.
“We are confident that our partnership with the Royal Commission for AlUla will be one of many contributing factors to achieving the ambitious targets of Saudi Vision 2030 advancing the Kingdom’s position as a leading regional and global tourism destination.”
There are now three weekly flights between Dubai and AlUla, and the carrier is also launching domestic flights to cities including Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam – meaning you can explore the best of KSA in one trip.
The first flight is set to take off on November 19 from Dubai International Airport with a huge ceremony to celebrate the history and heritage of AlUla, while also celebrating the award-winning services flynas has been providing since 2007.
The RCU added, “Today is a huge milestone for AlUla as we will once again be on the international traveller’s route. Visitors can directly access AlUla with flynas direct flights from Dubai and Kuwait we look to introducing more visitors to the monumentality of the destination.”
AlUla is definitely on the track of becoming one of the most popular tourists sites in Saudi Arabia, and this will definitely add visitor numbers to one of the country’s unique destinations.
