Calling all art fans. AlUla High Arts festival just kicked off and features cutting-edge modern and ancient art, preserved for thousands of years.
At this festival, a group of artistic performances awaits you on New Village Road. The spot adjacent to the old town, has recently become a hub of art and creativity in the region.
The AlUla High Arts Festival hosts a range of local and international talent, who present live performances ranging from poetry to acrobatic performances, theatrical and musical performances, and other fun and out-of-the-ordinary performances.

The performances at AlUla High Arts Festival include a live demonstration by calligrapher and artist Shaker Kashgari, who is constantly searching for the aesthetic of the Arabic letter. Additionally, graffiti artist Dia Rambo will create a new work every night. His works combine graffiti art with a special Saudi character.
The famous sand painter Alaa Yahya, who will narrate the creative method of drawing on sand, will highlight the history of the AlUla region and its successive eras.
Also, a part of this festival is the famous Desert X AlUla exhibition, which is back after a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The international art exhibition places works against the breathtaking landscape of AlUla.
The events at AlUla High Arts Festival are not limited to the arts, as the festival includes entertainment activities for all family members, in addition to the many options offered by the new village of restaurants and cafés, such as Circulo Restaurant, which serves appetisers and pizza; and Scuttle Restaurant, which specialises in burgers, meat and seafood.
