As concern grows over the Omricon variant, Saudi Arabia has updated its Covid-19 rules. Adults aged 18 years old and above will be required to have a booster dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, which enables them to keep their fully vaccinated status on the Tawakkalna application.
As of February 1 2022, adults aged 18 and up will be required to be triple-jabbed if they plan on heading out and enjoying cafés, restaurants, and malls. Previously we were required to have the third dose or the booster shot six to eight months after receiving the second dose. Now, however, we can have the booster only three months after we’ve taken the second jab.

Failure to get the booster shot within eight months after you’ve received the second will result in your immune status on Tawakkalna being taken away.
If you are exempt from taking the Covid-19 vaccine, don’t worry, as you will not be required to take the booster shot. The government has also reminded people to continue to follow precautionary measures.
Under the current guidelines, masks are no longer mandatory outdoors and the country recently updated the list of countries that can now enter the kingdom. Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior issued a directive that allows fully vaccinated expatriates from Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil, Vietnam, Egypt, and India to enter the kingdom. Count us in.
