Qatar Airways is set to resume flights from Doha to Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam this week.
From Monday January 11, there will be daily flights to the Saudi Arabian capital, followed by four weekly flights to Jeddah from Thursday January 14.
Then, from Saturday January 16, daily flights to Dammam will relaunch.
Qatar Airways group CEO Akbar Al Baker said, “We are very pleased with the positive outcome from the GCC Summit and the decision to reopen all borders with Qatar.”
Saudi Arabia and Qatar agreed to open airspace, land and sea borders between the two countries last week ahead of the 41st GCC Summit.
The first flight to reroute over Saudi Arabian airspace left Doha for Johannesburg at 8.45pm on Thursday (January 7).
The UAE has also agreed to reopen airspace, land and sea borders, and the resumption of flights is expected shortly.
In a tweet, Qatar Airways said, “Please note that our airline is in close contact with the relevant authorities for the resumption of the scheduled flights. This news will be announced on our official channels.”
