Phillips Auction House opens in Riyadh for the first time

Check out rare and collector’s edition items at this three-day event

Saudi watch enthusiasts, you’ll have all the time in the world for this event. Philips Auction House will be coming to Riyadh on November 11-13, and will be showcasing collector’s edition watches at Tuwaiq Palace.

Phillips Auction House in association with Bacs & Russo, the world’s biggest auction house in the field of timepieces will be a making major stop for the very first time in Riyadh. You will be able to see and handle some of the world’s most important collectors’ watches from brands such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille, and FPJourne before their auction in New York.

These are some of the world’s rarest watches, and they have practically travelled the world to be presented to you. In collaboration with the Saudi Fashion Commission, this event is set to bring some sparkle to Riyadh.

Burak Cakmak, CEO of the Fashion Commission, says, “We are thrilled to be partnering with Phillips Auction House as part of their rare watches tour and to have them in Riyadh for the first time. We hope this will be the first of many luxury apparel events as we know there is a market here in Saudi.”

The experts at Phillips Auction House are thrilled to be coming over to Saudi and add to the ever-growing fashion field. Paul Boutros, Head of Watches for the Americas, says, “The exhibition in Riyadh will provide an exciting opportunity for collectors to meet our specialists, see some of the rarest and most exclusive collector’s watches in the world, and receive free valuations for their own timepieces.”

Just some of the watches on display will be The Edward Hornby Tourbillon Pocket Watch by George Daniels (the father of modern watch-making). From Rolex, a superb Paul Newman Daytona John Player Special and a rare vintage Daytona, called The Doctor, that features a pulsations dial. Our hearts are racing.
