Calling all petrol heads. The world’s largest Bugatti showroom has opened in Riyadh’s I MALL luxury cars, Al Nakhil. SAMACO Automotive is now the official Bugatti dealer in the kingdom, and boasts an impressive space covering 250 square metres.
The brand was created in France in 1909 by the Italian-born Ettore Bugatti. Coming from a family of renowned designers, Bugatti had a brother who was an animal sculptor and a dad who was a furniture and jewellery designer.
It was during World War I that Bugatti became interested in engineering, as he designed an aeroplane engine and railcars. His name became most famous for cars, however, as a Bugatti car was the vehicle that won the first Grand Prix in Monaco in 1929.
Rich in history, the brand is one of the top car manufacturers in the world. The cars have also appeared in Hollywood films, from Need For Speed to Transformers: Age Of Extinction. The two models on display in the showroom are the latest versions of the Chiron, the Chiron Pur Sport and Chiron Super Sport.
Kostas Psarris, the regional director of Bugatti in the Middle East & Asia, says, “We celebrate the grand opening of our first Bugatti showroom in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a dream that we, Bugatti and SAMACO, had for a very long time. We have very passionate and loyal customers in Saudi Arabia, which we want to make them feel that they are part of this very exclusive community of Bugatti.”
Visitors are welcome to view and buy the cars. The luxury cars will feature in Riyadh International Motor Show, which runs until November 28. The public can also enjoy a driving experience in Riyadh between November 30 to December 3. The Bugatti cars will then make their way to Jeddah between December 9 to 11. Readers, start your engines.
