The best Halloween events in Riyadh

Scare yourself silly in haunted hospitals and costume parties

Who doesn’t enjoy being feeling a little scared once in a while? And the occasional prank never hurt anyone (well, at least not the person who does them). Here is our list of the best Halloween events in Riyadh. Whether you want haunted hospitals, green doughnuts or a super scary movie, this list covers it all.

Glaze Donuts

Dig into Glaze Craze’s special green coloured doughnuts
Glaze Craze is a doughnut place that serves up doughnuts of every kind. And during the Halloween season, they are giving all the feels with their green doughnuts and amazing latte art. With their tongue in cheek slogan “this is how we donut it,” Glaze makes some cute statement doughnuts.
Open Sat-Wed 8am-12am Thu-Fri 8am-1:30pm, 7089 Abi Bakr As Siddiq Rd, An Nada, glazecrazedonut.com (050 366 8032).

Iqrah Hospital

Explore the capital’s most haunted spots
Irqah Hospital is one of Riyadh’s most haunted places, as it was used in 1981 to treat soldiers from the Gulf War. The hospital was put out of commission and has since then become the highlight of tweets and gossip all over social media. Supposedly jinns (spirits) have been spotted and are responsible for damaging the premises.

Winter Wonderland

Get spooked out inside Winter Wonderland’s haunted house
As Riyadh Season gets well and truly underway, Winter Wonderland will be bringing all sorts of amazingness to town. Even though it feels more festive, it also has its very own haunted house. With a terrifying maze, spooky games and death-defying rollercoasters, you’ll be sure to get a few scares.

Statue Cafe

Have a side of spooks with your coffee
Skeleton chalices, pumpkins scatted around, and cob-fun décor, make this a great place to take the family. Plus, there are special drinks for the season, such as the saffron latte. Order your drink and it will be decorated with beautiful spooky latte art. The ambience is spot on for anyone wanting to share some spooky snaps this Halloween.

Syrup Lounge

Join a scary party for grown-ups
Making sure it’s not just the kids who have all the fun, Syrup Lounge is hosting a party for grown-ups. Taking place at the Anatara Compounds, there is a DJ, food trucks, a graveyard themed café and, if you didn’t come prepared, a costume shop. This is one definitely set to be one of the best Halloween events in Riyadh.
From SAR260. October 29. 5pm-1am. King Khalid Branch Rd, Ar Rihab, Ad Diriyah 13717, syrup.sa/event/freaky-friday (011 228 8006).

Kids costume party

Take the kids to a costume party
This one’s for the tiny tots, as Syrup Lounge is also throwing a costume park for children. The only requirement? Have a lot of fun. Dress them like their favourite cartoon character and take lots of pictures. Strike a pose as a family, and watch the smile on your kid’s face grow.
SAR100 for children, SAR35 for adults (includes one drink). Oct 29. 5pm-7pm. 9038 Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz Road, An Narjis, syrup.sa, (011 228 8006)

Halloweek Kills

Watch the return of one of the ultimate horror movie villains
While we might not be big fans of the latest Halloween Kills, going to the cinema to watch a scary movie (even just for jumps) is a Halloween tradition in itself. Watch as serial killer Michael Myers resumes his insane killing spree once again.
Out in cinemas across Riyadh.
