Riyadh, can you kick it? Yes, you can. The beautiful game is coming to the capital via Barcelona vs Real Madrid on January 12 at King Fahd International Stadium.
The major face-off comes after FC Barcelona played Boca Juniors at Mrsool Park in November for the Maradona Cup. FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid is going to be the first semi-final of two for the Spanish Super Cup.
The second semi-final will be played by Atletico and Athletic Bilbao on January 13, and the final will be on January 16. The Spanish Super Cups returns to Riyadh after nearly two years, as it was previously cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
A football fan’s dream come true, Riyadh will finally get to witness the two super teams in action. Saudi Arabia signed a three-year deal to host the Supercopa de Espana from 2020 to 2022, in hopes to host the El Classico FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid.
The rivalry has seen 99 wins from Real Madrid, 96 wins from FC Barcelona, and 52 draws, we couldn’t be more excited to see what’s next for these major teams in the semi-final at King Fahd International Stadium.
