Best places to go horse riding in Riyadh

We galloped around town to round up the best riding centres in Riyadh

As the weather cools down, it’s a great time to make the most of the outdoors. Horse riding is an exhilarating experience, not to mention Saudi loves these four-legged beauties. So whether you’re a beginner or can ride a horse like you’re Clint Eastwood, here’s your chance to get fit and have some fun. Here are the coolest clubs where you can sign up for horse riding lessons. Giddy up.

Al Aghar Club

Have you for a competitive streak? Well, make a beeline for this horse club, as its well-known for competitions, most notably the five round jumping one. They start off with jumps at 40cm, then 60cm and eventually go as high as one metre. This is a fun club to visit with friends, as it has a lively atmosphere.

Al Areen Equestrian Club

This horse riding club is only open for families. It has friendly trainers who will help you and your little ones every gallop of the way. The club has been hosting competitions for the past seven years. You will also find a horse breeding farm on site, where you’ll be able to see foals and ponies.

Al Kahela Equestrian Club

This is one of the only spots that offers classes in archery and horse riding. So you can get your Legolas on. During the classes, they’ll teach you tricks, so you won’t just be riding between cones and jumping hurdles, but doing archery at the same time. It may sound a little hard at first, but that’s where the skilled trainers come in. You’ll be in safe hands and feel like you’re in your own Medieval movie

Caballo Equestrian Club

This is by far one of the most beautiful spots to go horse riding. With its green pastures, and white sand, riding here is a dream. The horses match the scene, as the pure white ones are some of the prettiest we’ve seen. Caballo offers a one-on-one personal training experience, giving you full privacy. It also keeps different kinds of horses: English, Middle Eastern, and, of course, Arabian. Complete your experience by watching a show with the beautiful Arabian horses.

Riyadh Stables

This is one of the most popular places in Riyadh for horse riding. The trainers are used to dealing with little riders, and kids as young as four years old can learn to ride here, as well as general beginners and adults. Riyadh Stables’ team takes good care of the horses, ensuring they are well-fed, well-trained and well looked-after. It also houses an indoor riding area and host competitions, too.

Voyage Equestrian Club

This is a wonderful place with a gorgeous view, and a private area for women and families. Known for its contests, Voyage is currently hosting a winter photography competition. It also has a café.
