Time Out Riyadh launches to showcase the best of the Saudi capital

From food to fashion, cinema to shopping, we’re here to bring you a complete guide to going out in the city

Well, hello there! Always felt like there was something missing? Us too. Which is why we could not be more delighted to be right here, right now, launching Time Out Riyadh, with a mission to showcase the very best of the Saudi capital.

Online, on our social channels (more on those below) and in print (yes, we’ve launched a monthly magazine too!), we’re available in both Arabic and English.

Hello, Riyadh…

While we’re a global media brand, with a presence in more than 300 cities in more than 50 countries around the world, in each of those locations we pride ourselves on being local experts, delivering unrivalled insight, entertaining reads and independent, anonymous reviews to our audience.

(Yes, all our restaurant reviews are conducted anonymously, and paid for by us.)

In short, we exist to save you time. We exist to save you money. We exist to champion the home-grown. And we exist to show you the very best stuff to do and places to eat in your city.

And as Time Out Riyadh launches, we promise to be just that, with a dedicated team out and about daily, experiencing and reporting on the best the capital has to offer – from eclectic open mic nights at Syrup Lounge to brilliant bakeries like Toastic, tucked away in At Taawun.

We call all of this “the business of happiness” – and in a city as exciting and dynamic as Riyadh, with an ambitious, passionate community shaping the future, there’s a whole lot to smile about.

In fact, you’ll find a starting 101 of them in our first guide to the best things to do in Riyadh right now.

We’ve also kicked off by speaking to people doing thrilling stuff all over the city right now, from artist Abdulnasser Gharem to designer Mohammed Khoja, gamer Dhay to beauty biz duo Mshael Alessa and Hind Alajlan.

And in collaboration with Saudi Tourism, we’ve worked with inspiring Saudi artists Abdullah Al Jahdhami (Shaweesh), Huda Beydoun and Noor Hisham Alsaif on a striking cover series to mark the launch of the very first issues of Time Out Riyadh, helmed by a striking visual of Diriyah.

Just like many of the local talents, entrepreneurs and businesses we’re covering (and many more all over Riyadh), we’re just getting started.

So let’s do this – together.
