Lights, cameras, festivals. Tickets are now available for the exciting Red Sea International Film Festival taking place in Jeddah, which runs from Monday December 6 to Wednesday December 15. If you know your Marlo Thomas flicks from Omar Sherif classics, you’ll be pleased to hear that you can book your tickets.
Whether you’re on a budget or want to splurge, there are five different ticket packages to satisfy your movie needs. The Film Fan Bundle (costing SAR60) includes access to two regular screenings. While at the top end is the Ultimate Red Carpet Bundle (costing SAR480), which includes four tickets and two tickets per gala film.
The festival’s line-up of movie and gala screenings is set to be announced in early November, so stay close to Time Out for the full lowdown.
The Red Sea International Film Festival celebrates Arab as well as World Cinema and will showcase a diverse range of films. Attracting film lovers and filmmakers, the festival gives you the chance to discover new and classic films and provides a platform for industry professionals to connect.
The extensive program includes competitions, short films, international films and Saudi films. While immersive experiences, which are site-specific installations, mix experimental filmmaking and art techniques to create a one-off experience.

Are you a budding Spielberg? The Red Sea International Film Festival recently launched Cinema Al-Hara – a first-of-its-kind community outreach. Running from October 9 to October 30, it includes outdoor masterclasses and film screenings in various Jeddah neighbourhoods.
