Some of the fanciest names in the hospitality industry are setting up shop in Saudi Arabia, from St Regis Riyadh to Habitas AlUla. Hilton recently announced that its Curio Collection by Hilton will be launching across the kingdom. Here’s what we know so far about the Hilton hotels.
Almashreq Hotel Riyadh, Curio Collection
Up first will be the Almashreq Hotel Riyadh, Curio Collection, opening in 2024 and marking the brand’s debut in Saudi Arabia. Featuring 185 guest rooms, it will be located in the upcoming Laysen Valley development, opposite the city’s Diplomatic Quarter.
Jenna Hackett, global brand head, Curio Collection by Hilton said: “Curio Collection has expanded to over 100 hotels in some of the world’s top urban markets, and we are thrilled to add Riyadh to our growing portfolio. Each Curio Collection property is handpicked for its one-of-a-kind story, and Almashreq Hotel Riyadh, Curio Collection by Hilton’s enviable location as part of the highly anticipated Laysen Valley project will offer a truly remarkable stay experience.”
Hilton Garden Inn Jeddah Falastin
Next is the 176-key Hilton Garden Inn Jeddah Falastin, which will open by 2025. Carlos Khneisser, vice president, development, Middle East & Africa, Hilton, said: “Saudi Arabia continues to be a major focus for us as we grow the Hilton Garden Inn portfolio in the Middle East.”
LXR Hotels & Resorts, Diriyah Gate
Last but certainly not least is the LXR Hotels & Resorts property in Diriyah Gate opening 2026. The boutique resort will boast 80 rooms and villas, an 800 square metre spa, a range of dining outlets and both an indoor and outdoor pool.
Jerry Inzerillo, group CEO of Diriyah Gate Development Authority said: “The vision for Diriyah is to create one of the world’s greatest global gathering places, as such, our partnership with Hilton will introduce the luxury LXR Hotels & Resorts brand to the region, bringing a new vision to our collection of the world’s finest hospitality brands. We’re enthusiastic about this offering and are looking forward to future opportunities and the possibility of bringing more of Hilton’s brands to Diriyah and the Kingdom.”
