Bullet Train
If you’re looking for an action-packed film to see in Riyadh cinemas, get this on your radar. Bullet Train stars Brad Pitt as Ladybug: an unlucky assassin determined to do his job peacefully. Luck, however, may have other plans. Ladybug’s latest mission puts him on a collision course with lethal adversaries from around the globe – all with connected, yet conflicting, objectives – on the world’s fastest train. The result is a non-stop thrill ride through Japan. The film is directed by David Leitch and also stars Sandra Bullock, Joey King and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

DC League of Super Pets
If you’re after a movie that the whole family can enjoy together, this new film in Riyadh cinemas is about Super-Dog and Superman: inseparable friends who fight crime together. When Superman and the Justice League are kidnapped, Super-Dog must convince the rest of the shelter pack to help him rescue them. The animated film stars John Krasinski, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Kate McKinnon.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
It’s time to go back to Hogwarts with Harry, Ron and Hermione. Following the re-release of the first two Harry Potter films in cinemas, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is officially back on the big screen. Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) is about to start his third year of school at Hogwarts, but there’s trouble before he even begins after Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) escapes from Azkaban prison.

I Love My Dad
What happens when a son blocks his father on social media? The father catfishes him, of course. Or at least that’s the plot of this American comedy. Franklin’s father Chuck begins a journey of impersonating a waitress named Becca in order to become closer to his son, knowing that it might be the last straw in his father-son relationship. Directed by James Morosini, the film stars Patton Oswalt, Morosini and Claudia Sulewski.

Minions 2: The Rise of Gru
It’s been a while since the whole world went crackers for minions. Which is why Minions 2: The Rise of Gru is bringing them back just in time. The film is releasing to Riyadh cinemas this weekend and tells the story of young Gru in the 1970s as he tries to join a group of supervillains. The interview doesn’t go to plan and Gru finds himself on the run with the villains hot on his heels. The film is directed by Kyle Balda and stars Steve Carell as Gru.

Orphan: First Kill
Looking to get spooked? You could check out this prequel to the 2009 horror film Orphan. Yes, Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman) is back. She escapes a facility in Estonia and travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. As you likely have anticipated, things take a dark turn. Hold on tight to your popcorn.

Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank
Do cats and dogs ever get along? This kid-friendly movie explores the concept, but with a fun twist. Hank (voiced by Michael Cera) is a pup in a town full of cats. The place is in need of a new samurai to protect them so Hank volunteers and undergoes training with some reluctant felines. The playful film also has Samuel Jackson, Michelle Yeoh and Ricky Gervais voicing characters. This is one new movie to bring the entire family to.

School of Magic Animals
When objects begin disappearing at school, the children team up with their magical animals to solve the mystery of the school thief. The film centres on new pupil Ida who goes from being an outsider to the star student thanks to her special critter, a talking fox called Rabbat. The fun, fantasy animated film stars Emilia Maier, Leonard Conrads and Loris Sichrovsky.

The Gray Man
Ryan Gosling stars as Court Gentry, the CIA’s most skilled operative. He’s so skilled that no one knows his true identity, but things take a turn when he uncovers secret information and the tables get turned on him. The high stakes action film also stars Chris Evans, Ana de Armas and Regé-Jean Page.

Thor: Love and Thunder
Love Marvel movies? As Thor would say, “I like it, another.” Thor: Love and Thunder follows Thor as he sets off on a journey that’s unlike any of his others: a quest for inner peace. His retirement gets interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher who wants to kill him. Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster. Together can they save everyone? The film stars Natalie Portman, Chris Hemsworth and Christian Bale.

Top Gun: Maverick
Top Gun: Maverick is a new film that just released to Riyadh cinemas. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film is about on of the Navy’s top aviators: Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, who is a brave test pilot pushing 30 years of service. He is training a detachment of graduates for a special assignment. Will they survive? The film stars Tom Cruise, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Connelly.

Two Buddies And A Badger
Love musicals? This family-friendly movie follows the journey of two old friends, Tootson and Ludiwood, who meet a young woman on the run. Her father, an ingenious scientist, is being held against his will by a cruel villain trying to force him to create a serum that turns humans into robots. The flick stars the world-famous Norwegian musical duo, Knutsen & Ludvigsen. If you’re looking for new films in Riyadh cinemas to bring the entire gang, this sounds like a good one.
