First Middle East Porsche Design hotel confirmed for Saudi Arabia

The Porsche hotel will have suites and penthouses, as well as restaurants and wellness spaces

If you thought Porsche was just a fast car, think again. The first Porsche Design hotel in the Middle East will be opening in Saudi Arabia. Officially known as the Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels brand, the Porsche Design hotel will have design components inspired by the famous sports car badge.

The hotels will offer at least 150 rooms, suites and penthouses. They will also have a restaurant and bar concept, exclusive Meet&Greet Cubes, and a health and beauty facility as well as a gym extending over a minimum area of 1,000 square metres.

Qusai Al-Fakhri, CEO of TDF, says, “Through this collaboration – which will result in first of its kind hospitality offerings – we continue to enhance the Kingdom’s tourism offering under the National Tourism Strategy.”

Marcus Bernhardt, CEO of Deutsche Hospitality, adds, “The project will cater to the sophisticated needs of the Saudi market, creating a unique and innovative experience within the Kingdom’s luxury lifestyle hotel segment that is sure to offer an incomparable guest experience. A Porsche Design Hotel in Saudi Arabia reflects our commitment to the region and our support for the Kingdom as a leading global tourist destination.”

Porsche Design is known for its range of high-end luggage, timepieces, electronics, eyewear and clothing, which are inspired by sports cars. The new hotel brand will follow the same standards of luxury and craftsmanship.

Bernhardt adds, “I think the ultimate goal of Porsche is the quality of the hotels instead of quantity. They would like maybe 20 to 25 across the world’s major cities. Of course, Dubai fits into that category, as do the likes of Shanghai, New York, London, Paris. These are the destination we’d like to place the new lifestyle luxury brand.”

We look forward to checking in and checking it out.
