Saudi Arabia seems to be welcoming cool new hotels on a regular basis. The latest to join the list is Fauchon, which will make its regional debut with a Fauchon hotel at Diriyah Gate. A luxury hotel brand spawned from the historic Fauchon gastronomy brand, it promises to complement the destination’s Buijari Terrace.
The Fauchon L’Hôtel Riyadh will feature 80 guest rooms and suites, as well as The Grand Café Fauchon, a spa, a rooftop outdoor pool and bar, and a Fauchon boutique.
Jerry Inzerillo, group CEO of Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), said “We are thrilled to be welcoming Fauchon to Diriyah, the property will bring not just a unique concept to Saudi being their first property in the GCC.
“The breaking of bread has been an ancient tradition across the regions for centuries and the Fauchon offering at The Grand Café will complement our elevated dining experiences at Buijari Terrace. We are excited to share further developments on this property in the coming months.”
Fauchon itself dates back more than 130 years, now standing as a leader in France for tea, pastries, confectioneries and chocolates. It entered the hospitality world in 2018 with a hotel in the French capital, followed by a second hotel in Kyoto, Japan. All hotels are unified by a focus on F&B and on understated luxury. Sounds like our kind of hotel.
