ROKA Riyadh opens stunning terrace for alfresco dining

Grab a table on the terrace, which opens on November 14

Riyadh, this outdoors experience promises to be one of the coolest ways to start your winter. The renowned Japanese restaurant ROKA Riyadh is set to open its outdoor seating from November 14, meaning you can enjoy a new alfresco dining experience.

As the weather slowly cools down here in Riyadh, outdoor dining is making a comeback and Roka is on our hit list. The outdoor terrace aims to create a calm and cool atmosphere, which includes louvred glass panels, gorgeous plants and a resident DJ.

You’ll be enjoying Rainier Becker’s (yes, the world-famous chef) award-winning menu straight off the robata grill in the back. You’ll be treating your belly to wonderful Asian delights such as the kankoku fu kohitsuji (lamb cutlets with Korean spices and sesame cucumber) and kampachi sashimi no salada (yellowtail sashimi, yuzu-truffle dressing).

Got room for dessert? Great. Its amazing sweet menu will satisfy all your honeyed wishes (literally). You can try ROKA Riyadh’s dessert platter or if you’re more the cheesecake-type, you can dig into the luxurious hokkaido no yawaraka cheesecake (cotton soft cheesecake with robata grilled pear, cream cheese ice cream).

They say the more the merrier, and at ROKA Riyadh’s that’s exactly what they’re all about. Ro itself means a meeting place where food and drinks are shared with friends, and ka means heat, warmth and an all-embracing energy surround.

Open Sat-Wed 6.30pm-11.30pm. Thu-Fri 6.30pm-midnight. ROKA, 5140 Prince Muhammad Bin Abdulaziz Rd, As Sulimaniyah, rokarestaurant.com (920 012 327).
