Cookies, caramel cheese and crolls, is your mouth watering yet? If it’s not already, it will be soon because Buttermilk is launching new sweet treats and an afternoon tea.
The An Nakheel bakery and café specialises in Southern USA dishes, and the latest additions to the menu offer Riyadh diners the opportunity to sample signature dishes of the foodie region. Look out for new bakery items like peanut butter chocolate cookies, caramel cheesecake, a strawberry swirl, chocolate mud pie and three flavours of Crolls (chocolate hazelnut, strawberry and pistachio). Our advice is to try one of everything. You can also get them for takeaway.
The sweet times continue with the Southern Tea. The new dining experience is a great time to relax and try new bites. The afternoon tea is available Sunday to Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm and includes a selection of mini sandwiches and sweets as well as biscuits and jams. If you’ve yet to sample a Southern biscuit, this is a fantastic opportunity. Additionally, you’ll get to eat your way through more of Buttermilk’s delectable treats. Take your pick between a large selection of teas and coffees, as you enjoy an afternoon catching up with friends over nibbles.
The tea menu includes a delicious range of classic American sandwiches and desserts in mini form: smoked chicken, pimento cheese with cucumber and egg salad.
For dessert, dine on pumpkin pie, key lime pie, brownies and macaroons ( chocolate, pistachio, honey butter).
Let’s not forget that the tea comes with a basket of southern biscuits and mini croissants with jams.
